This episode was titled JSS.
The first thing that needs to be said is how awesome Carol is.
I also love the fact that as the viewer we haven't seen Carol in any action for a bit. We just got the biggest pay day for our wait.
Let's get started on the review/thoughts.
The Wolves attack while most of the muscle in the town is out of the way. Pretty smart. I know, how coincidental, right?
Wrong.

Wrong.
That's because Enid has been a spy for The Wolves all along. That's why she keeps sneaking out to the forest. That's why we see her in the beginning of the episode so hesitant to enter the town. Enid knows what the endgame is.
She wanted to "just survive somehow" and that is by making her allegiances with The Wolves.
I find it absolutely satisfying the Carol keeping up her act ultimately saved the Alexandrians. Enid had no idea that one of the strongest in Rick's group was right under her nose the whole time. Brilliant job by Carol.
It's also kind of cool the dichotomy between the two innocents - Carol and Enid. They are both using their womanhood and girlishness to hide who they really are. The cloak of innocence.
And the strongest she was. All the Alexandrians proved, yet again, how weak they were. The only two that didn't were Aaron and Jessie. Deanna was absolutely cowardly. She decides to stay outside the walls to protect her "governing" rather than try to help and save her people. What a difference in leadership between Rick and Deanna. Rick leads by example. He doesn't have anyone else do something he is not willing to do himself. I know, perhaps the show is working on there being a common ground between the two leadership styles, since Rick can be so off-putting, but come on. Doesn't this prove that Rick is correct?

Rick is even correct about bringing in outsiders. It was Alexandria's attempt to bring in more people that ultimately exposed them to The Wolves. Perhaps here, yes, there could be some common ground because with Daryl by Aaron's side, there wouldn't be as many mistakes. That's the whole point with bringing Daryl on board. Aaron knows Daryl is a better judge of character than he is.
As for Morgan versus Carol ... Morgan you stay out of Carol's head! Carol absolutely did what needed to be done. Morgan did not. If Morgan had killed those guys earlier, maybe all those people in Alexandria wouldn't have been killed. At the end, Morgan realizes he doesn't have a choice. Hopefully, that thread continues. Carol can't afford to become soft. Her and Rick are the only people keeping this group alive.
As for last thoughts, I'm not sure how I feel about Carl hesitating with the guy. Haven't we been through this?
As for Maggie, I see the future town leader there.
Is there any doubt in the Alexandrian's minds that Rick and his people were right all along?
Until next week.
