Like most television these days, we have unnecessary secrets to drive a plot. Why doesn't Abbie just tell Icky that she is having some visions? Is it because one of her greatest fears is to windup crazy like her mom? However, we've learned over the series that Mom Mills wasn't all that crazy, she was just seeing all of the same types of demons that Icky and Abbie fight on a daily basis. Plus, if anyone is going to get your back and help you not be crazy, wouldn't it be Jenny and Icky? I mean, what haven't those two seen? Needless drama. The same drama could be obtained by trying to figure out why Abbie is so drawn to the image. Maybe she can't help herself. There is the drama, a race against an unknown foe for Abbie's sanity. I like that much more than a character at this point not trusting one of her cohorts.
The monster was good, and I liked the tie in with Sheriff Corbin. That was nice.
As for Jenny and Joe, I like the way their relationship is developing. Slow and steady for Jenny. She doesn't trust easily, so for her to fall in love, it would take some time. I feel like the show has done a great job of that and staying true to the character. I think these two actors do a great job with the chemistry as well. You can see these two together, and sometimes that's a hard thing to convey. Well done actors Lyndie Greenwood and Zach Appelman!
What I would like to see next week is a little bit more humor for our main man Icky and I can't wait to see a little more angst from Pandora. She is going to go nuclear and I can't wait!
Sidenote, in just a few episodes, Icky has gone from not understanding how to make a tv dinner to being Rachael Ray???
Until next time!
