The title of this episode is The Assassin.
My thoughts are still ugh - somebody assassinate this show. I mean, this episode was better than other ones, but the writing! My God, the writing is so bad! When you write a blog, you have to proofread it. Does anyone proof read this show?
The good ... stuff actually happened that hadn't already happened before. Eph tries to rid the world of Palmer, but, apparently, he thought he had better sniper skills than he really did.
Narcissist.
I know if it were me, having never shot a gun before, I would for sure take that shot. Um, duh ... no. Palmer is swarmed with people. Try again another time. It's not like it was super-duper hard to find an opportunity! First time Palmer talks, the knuckle-head gang finds out where he is going. (This is my new name for these idiotically written characters.)
Eph, of course, stupid, misses. Eph and Dutch run. Also dumb ... how do the police know it is them? Huh? It's so unbelievably moronic ...
Eph and Dutch wind up in jail where the same semi-hipster dude who spotted them also seemingly works for Palmer because once Dutch is taken away semi-hipster dude fakes leaving and fakes being injured by vamps. You know because he somehow survives all those vamps entering the station. Come on. Any other observation is just ridiculous. But our knuckle-head gang walks right up to him and asks where Dutch has been taken. And semi-hipster dude just tells them. I'm simultaneously shaking my head and rolling my eyes.
Nora scores points this week with me. She walks around with a sword and a gun. Slices a head, shoots another vamp. Strong. I like it.
I get that Fet is supposed to be badass with his lead pipe or whatever it is, but come on. This episode really clarifies it. It took Fet, like, 5 slams with his pipe on a vamp's head before it died at the police station. Worms were spraying everywhere. Not, I repeat, not efficient ... and dangerous!
Nora, you win.
Plus, all that spray near Eph! You came to save him ... I was just waiting for one of those worms to land on him and for everyone to just shrug and chop off Eph's head -- then a comment like, "oh, I guess we should reconsider our weapon's of choice". End scene.
Sadly, that did not happen.
Onto something else.
At first, I was like, why would The Master come for Coco? No way.
But that's why The Master is The Master.
The Master has more important things to do than worry about Palmer. However, by giving Palmer the illusion that he has some control or leverage over The Master actually works in The Master's favor. Plus, I could see The Master shrugging. Coco will either continue to like Palmer, or she will hate him. Either way, The Master wins. I could see The Master laughing in his coffin over Coco hating Palmer. If she likes him, great, no sweat off his shriveled balls. Once he has what he needs from Palmer, Palmer is going to be toast. Leaders kill underlings all the time to retain their supremacy. There is no way The Master lets Palmer live and have the possibility of killing The Master someday for supreme rule. Duh.
Final thoughts.
Yay! Yay! Yay! ... No Zach this week. Sorry, that character is terrible.
Dutch being hooked up to a crank is promising. I can't wait to see how the show mucks it up. Plus, what is it ratcheting her toward? It's not like she is killed in the sun? It kinda looked like Interview With a Vampire. However, it would make sense that the writers would lean toward that without proofreading the fact that humans aren't killed in the sun ...
No comment on how idiotic grouchy grandpa found book and then got knocked over the head. I know, maybe if you had a friend there to watch your back??? No, you prefer "those people" to just drive you around town while you grumble.
Until next week!
