My thoughts blog on Sleepy Hollow has been lacking lately, however, it's kinda due to a lackluster last few episodes.
The show just isn't pulling me in with this whole symbol thing with Abbie. First it is going to be evil, then it is a good thing, then it's dust? I guess.
I might be the only one enjoying Pandora, but I am certainly super over The Hidden One. Enough. Who cares. Girl power, Pandora.Get rid of the deadbeat.
The show is just dragging on about him. We don't care. Maybe more viewers would care about Pandora if it wasn't for her sidekick.
One of the things I enjoy most about the show has been absent as well -- the humor from Icky. It's been really minuscule. The show just seems to be lacking some good-natured fun, on all accounts.
Also, calm down, Jenny. So the guy bought you a new trailer. Let's not bust his balls over it, okay?

As for the specific episodes, here are my thoughts on them ....
Episode 13 Dark Mirror:
I liked the weird Benjamin Franklin wanna be scientist. I thought that was kinda cool.
I didn't like the actual creature. I'm usually super on the side of the costume and makeup artists on this show, but this time it was a big swing and a miss.
I didn't like Abbie "Hesitation" Mills. That's your best friend and soon-to-be love interest on the show. Help the dude out.
Also, in that desert oasis she learned how to make an antiparasitic paste? Stop it.

Episode 14 Into The Woods:
What I liked about this episode -- not much. We see more of So-So Sophie, she's not terrible, so that's a good thing. The monster was decent.
What I didn't like was that out of all of the things that Icky has solved, he didn't know the symbol was a magnet? That's more unbelievable than Icky being in the modern day when he was born before the American Revolution. Sigh.
I didn't like the antiparasitic paste. Too much.
Abbie on the rock climbing wall? Ugh.
Joe is a monster again? I can't really comment on it because my streaming went out and I was too bored to even go through the trouble of rewinding it. The particular app I have to watch Sleepy Hollow doesn't have that ten second rewind feature. You have to drag the play box over with your finger and that can be a real crap-shoot (I watch on an iPad as well. Don't judge me). I mean, if the writers really want to know what a bad job they are doing this year, just read that.

Episode 15 Incommunicado:
This episode was better. What I liked was we got some humor in the beginning between Abbie and Icky. That was good. I thought the overall plot of this episode was good. The two teams having to work together to save their significant others. I thought that was fun to watch.
Trust issues were at the forefront again and was an intriguing dynamic. Abbie trusts So-So Sophie (who has been growing on me, so I shall give her a new nickname, Agent Newbie) and that was a nice dynamic. Joe doesn't trust himself, but Jenny's trust in him, enough to tell him she loves him, saves the day. Clearly, The Hidden One and Pandora have serious lack of trust issues. So, like I said, trust issues all around.
I didn't like the end result to the Thura symbol. It what, just exploded? Turned to dust? What about all that time The Hidden One spent deciphering the language for Icky? That didn't even help -- wasn't that the point, that Icky and The Hidden One were going to help breakdown the barrier? Did anything the men do help? Only thing Icky did was create an even greater divide between Pandora and her boo-bear.
Also, speaking of my app above, I watched this week on the Fox app. Maybe I missed something because Fox inserted a commercial break RIGHT when The Hidden One started glowing or something. I kinda feel like I missed something.
Anyway, back to the Thura symbol. We spent multiple episodes on that thing and for it just to be dust, along with the tablet, feels like a slap in the face from the writers.
One more complaint. This episode stated the witnesses derive their witnessing through a blood line. Didn't we kind of, truly, know that already? That's why we spent so much time with Mommy Mills.
Oh, well.
Until next time!
