Another great 2 weeks of Sleepy Hollow. The episodes featured the big baddies of Jack the Ripper and the Tooth Fairy.
Overall, both episodes were very enjoyable and I feel confident the season will continue on the route of success. Fans are happier, so hopefully the executives will be happier.
Last week's baddy was Jack the Ripper. What I liked about the episode was the way SH tied the end of the reign of Jack the Ripper to disease and, in particular for Icky, yellow fever. It's that next level storytelling that makes viewers happy. While not done with precision, it was still a nice thought.
I liked that Icky injected himself with malaria to kill Jack the Ripper, it was a nice touch. However, I'm fairly certain that Icky can't just hang out at Abbie's apartment and get anti-malaria drugs. Chloroquine is not something on hand at the local pharmacy. You can't ask for some condoms, Pepsi, and oh, I'll take the intravenous Chloroquine please. Stupid.

Which leads me to this past episode with the Tooth Fairy. Really? Abbie gets knocked on the head, or something, we couldn't see, and she has to go to the hospital and is unconscious? Dumb. Just stay consistent SH, that's all we ask.
I did like the creature in The Sisters Mills. Those of us that watch SH know that the budget isn't that of Guillermo Del Toro or James Cameron movie. That's why we can appreciate these monsters of late. They are sufficiently scary and sufficiently well done. Kuddos SH.
Speaking of Guillermo Del Toro, I even like the monsters better in SH than in The Strain, his pet project. The Master's first face looked like a high school student's project. Ugh. The Strain. Puts a bad taste in my mouth.
Anywho ...
The humor continued in this episode, which was nice. I like the interplay between the characters and Icky's potential dating life. What makes Icky great is that people are constantly making fun of him, in not a mean way, and he takes it in stride.
He does need to start telling people to back off reading his text messages though. Abbie can tell Icky to mind his own business when it comes to her boss, but she can just pick up his phone and read his texts? Back off Abbie!
Apparently, we are due for a Bones crossover event. I think I read somewhere that this has happened before? Now, I don't watch Bones, but I would tune in for a crossover. That would be fun. They absolutely marketed to the right gal here.
Until next time!
