Poor Chris, I thought he turned the corner last week on not being a stupid teenager. Whoopsie, I was wrong. He does the asinine thing of engaging with Reed. On a side note, Daniel makes another babysitting error by leaving Chris alone with the guy.
Idiot.
Long story short, Chris shoots the guy. Sorta. It took me until Talking Dead to realize that Chris shot him in the face. I couldn't figure it out. I'm probably an idiot as well. However, HOW DO YOU FUCK THAT UP! Chris! He has a spike through his abdomen????
The most ugh inducing moment was when Chris said do you think I made another mistake (or whatever)? Yes. Yes you fucked up. Duh. You weren't supposed to talk to him. You're to weak to realize he is going to push your buttons. You can't shoot straight. You messed up the exchange for your father ... yes! You screwed up!!
I did really love Daniel's line about the true men to be feared don't have to tout their evil ways. Sweet.

As for Alicia, just because she had the foresight to steal what's-his-nuts knife does not make her apocalypse ready. She is still my vote for "please kill off this moronic character". The best part (I say sarcastically), is when she suddenly goes all action hero and slides down the side of the boat. WTF. That is so unbelievable I almost started laughing, but my autonomic nervous system decided for an eye roll instead. Please kill her off.
Also, I'm not buying airplane lady saying it is the fault of Travis for her being cut from the yacht. I'm sorry. Are we all watching the same show? I mean, I show up each week, I expect the writers to as well. It's the unspoken agreement between viewer and writer. Someone is not fulfilling their end of the bargain.

However, no one is talking online about the best scene in the whole episode. I left the best for last. I thought it was a beautiful scene, well shot, understated, and well acted (not overacted). It was a simple scene, but it stated so much. When Nick walks up to Chris outside Reed's room, he simply shuts the door on Reed. It was brilliant. Simple. It speaks volumes about the two characters, and life, really. Shut out the noise. Let talkers talk. Nick, the master manipulator, knows exactly how to respond in the situation, he doesn't engage.
Why the scene was so brilliantly directed was there was no heavy dialogue. No don't engage Chris! Don't play into his hands! Nope. Just a simple closing of the door, because often times in life we complicate things. Nick shows just how uncomplicated the situation really is.
Loved it.

Until next time!
