Another good episode of BCS. What I liked about this episode was that Jimmy continues to walk the edge of the blade. He obtains his clients by less than kosher means and everyone is pleased with him, save for brother of the year Chuck. Yes, while the law firm does not condone soliciting, they don't press to find out that that is exactly what Jimmy is doing. Well, save for Chuck. Chuck does not just want to bear witness to Jimmy's demise, he wants to ensure it.
Interestingly, Kim calls Jimmy out on this and he redirects course to the straight and narrow. He makes a commercial to get the word out to Sandpiper residents. Curiously, this is when he fails. He doesn't run it past his boss and his boss is livid. I can only assume this is going to cause Jimmy to teeter more towards the dark side.
Clearly, the most beautiful scene of the episode was between Jimmy and Kim on the couch. When he says something to the effect of "did anything blow up yet" -- we all know he was referring to their relationship. Beautiful writing.

Then there is Mike. Poor Mike. He is willing to do a little bad guy stuff, but doesn't want to do the heavy stuff. It seems he doesn't have a choice if he wants to protect his daughter-in-law and his granddaughter. Daughter-in-law is losing her mind, or manipulating Mike - it's pretty unclear at this point, although I lean toward manipulation. It doesn't matter to Mike, he is saddled with guilt over the loss of his son and the why is of little consequence. Just as Jimmy is on a path, we see that so too is Mike and that with all things in life, sometimes it is the baby steps that get you to your end path. I can't help but think this is what Mike saw when he dragged himself to the water after Walter shot him. He saw all those little decisions that led him to the bigger ones and, ultimately, being at that water's edge.
Until next time!
